Barbara Vulso (Vox)
Born and raised in Genoa, Italy, she started to sing at 16 and never stopped since. Published 3 albums with her blues band Mama's Pit and performed to blues festivals all over Europe. Moved to her second home, Ireland, in 2005 and took part to the biggest festivals in the country like Body and Soul and Electric Picnic, and sang for the Irish President, Michael D. Higgins. She was lead singer with the Black Magic Big Band , a 20 piece jazz band based in Galway until 2020. She leads the latin band La Orqusta Kalamares, and their 10 years residency every Wednesday night in Galway.
She is a regular performer with the best of burlesque in Ireland: the Dirty Circus (Galway) and Candlelight Cabaret (Dublin).
Dave Curtis (Keys and Vox)
David Curtis is a multi instrumentalist, writer and arranger. He recorded, wrote and played with AJ Croce and co-produced songs for and played with Ultan Conlon. He’s played with Mike Garson ,Dean Brown, John Simon, Ivan Neville, Arlo Guthrie, Lee Roy Parnell, Bobby Bare, Peter Sprague, Elvin Bishop, David Garza, Mary Coughlin, Branford Marsalis, Russell Malone and has composed music for Bravo, A&E, Disney Channel and National Geographic.
Terry Cooke (Drums and vox)
A native and resident of Galway City, Ireland, Terry began formal tuition on drums and percussion from the age of seven. A comfortable, poised player, proficient sight reader and currently one of the most sought after and in-demand drummers and multi- percussionists in the country, Terry is a vastly experienced performer across all genres of music from classical and musical theatre pit musician to tuition both privately, and within various educational programs in schools nationwide. Throughout his career, Terry has been fortunate to study under an array of exceptionally gifted musicians within their various fields and genres. He has played both at home in Ireland and abroad on radio, television, touring productions, featuring on numerous recordings across all genres and is renowned for his solid groove and feel within any style of music.
Francesco “Trincia” Olivieri (Bass and vox)
Electric and Double Bass player and Music teacher from Genova, Italy. Graduated at Bass Collective in New York City in 1998 after having studied with John Patitucci, Lincoln Goines, Mike Pope, Zev Katz among others. He has been living, studying and working as performing and studio musician and as music teacher in three different Countries besides Italy : USA , Denmark and Ireland . Curious and interested on getting to know different music genres, Trincia has been recording on different albums and collaborating and performing with a vaste number of projects and artists during these years, navigating through Pop, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Afrocuban Music, Swing, Acoustic, indie etc. Yes, he loves almost all music genres but his heart belongs to Black Music: Soul, R’n’B, Motown, Funk and Jazz and GSS is the perfect match for him.
He could manage to eat nearly 300 grams of Pasta al Pesto if provoked.
